1. Why is PGE Narodowy stadium closed?

During the standard annual technical inspection of the roof steel structure, a defect in one of the steel-rope structure components was revealed. When the defect was discovered, the operator of the PGE Narodowy stadium decided, based on an immediate recommendation from the builder of the structure, SBP of Stuttgart, and its contractor, the Italian company Cimolai, and on the advice of experts, to temporarily close the stadium for safety reasons.
